Manual therapy, also known as orthopedic manual therapy, is a clinical approach used by Masters in physical therapy that incorporates skilled hands-on techniques to evaluate and treat spinal and extremity joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. During the first visit, a patient’s history is thoroughly reviewed and a comprehensive physical exam is completed.

Our aim is to decrease pain and increase function. Joint mobilization/manipulation involves moving joints in specific directions and speeds to regain movements of the affected area of the body. Selected neural tension mobilization, soft tissue, myofascial release or dry needling may also be used to improve the mobility and function of tissues and muscles.
